Culture Fest is a popular annual celebration of art and culture, showcasing a variety of entertainment and activities representing the cultural diversity of western Colorado. The event is FREE to all!

Culture Fest will be on Saturday, November 6th from 11am - 2pm at the Central Library. Volunteers will help by greeting attendees at the door, handing out youth activity kits, providing directions to performances, answering questions about the event and assisting staff and country representatives as needed.

One shift will be available from 10:45am - 2pm. There may be some opportunity to help cleanup afterwards. Some shift flexibility is available.

One-time volunteers are welcome. Special Event waiver will be required. Masks required for staff and volunteers.

Greeter
Stand at either the east or west entrance of the Central Library. Welcome event attendees and answer questions from attendees and library patrons who are not attending Culture Fest. Being friendly and excited about Culture Fest are an expectation. Library employees who are staffing the event would also be able to answer questions if needed. This would also involve an ability to be on one’s feet for 1 to 3 hours.

Youth Take and Make Kits Table
Sitting at a table in the Youth Services Center and giving away the youth take make kits along with the directions for the kits. There will be 300 kits available to patrons. The volunteers would also be encouraged to provide directions to event attendees and answer basic questions about the event.

Event Guide
This role would involve guiding event attendees throughout the building if needed with a goal of encouraging people to stop by each country table and the performances taking place in the community rooms. The volunteers would also be encouraged to provide directions to event attendees and answer basic questions about the event. This would also involve an ability to be on one’s feet for 1 to 3 hours.

Floater
This would involve being available to run materials and supplies throughout the public areas of the Central Library on the day of Culture Fest as needed. The weight of the supplies that could need to be moved would not exceed 10 pounds. This would also involve an ability to be on one’s feet for 1 to 3 hours.
