We at Can Do Canines are very excited that you are interested in being a part of our assistance dog program!
Fostering is a way to get the love of a dog in your life without the life-long commitment. Long Term Fosters care for a dog for three to twelve months at a time. These dogs are usually one year or older and may have been trained in a prison program or with a Puppy Raiser. Long Term Fosters are asked to take the dog on public outings three times a week and bring the dog to one training opportunity a month.
Once you complete an application, a staff person will contact you to go through a virtual orientation and schedule a home visit.
Application information can be found by visiting volunteer.candocanines.org.
