Can you inspire a student to stay on track and complete their assignments? Then we need you!

Oakland High School serves students aged 14-18, many of whom are credit-deficient and in need of extra help to complete their assignments. Academic coaches meet with students one-on-one or in small groups to help them stay focused and get their work done.

We are especially in need of academic coaches who can help in Math, in particular, Algebra and Geometry assignments and Science. Make time today to help a student in your community be successful in school.

Communities In Schools is part of the 5th largest youth development organization in the country. We are the only ones proven to increase graduation rates AND decrease dropout rates.

We serve as the bridge between the student and the community, bringing in resources that help break down the barriers that students have to be successful in school.
