Become a Hospice Hero and volunteer with Texas Home Health Hospice as a Patient Care/Direct Care Volunteer.
Volunteers may choose to work directly with patients and families in assisted living communities or in patients’ homes. Their support activities include, but are not limited to: sitting with patients, translating, making phone calls, and providing music or pet therapy.
***Submitting an application and completing our training does NOT guarantee acceptance into our hospice volunteer program. The selection process includes, but is not solely dependent on, successful completion of all variables found in Volunteer Screening for Participation.
We will notify all volunteer applicants of their acceptance status.

Volunteers are an integral part of the AccentCare (formerly Texas Home Health Hospice) team, providing compassion and care when it is needed most. As the heart and hands of the hospice team, they provide a special kind of caring to patients, families, and staff through helping to make the hospice experience manageable and rewarding.
Men, women, and young people of all ages and backgrounds can volunteer in a variety of roles.

- Office/Administrative Volunteer
- Pet Therapy Volunteer
- Bereavement Volunteer
- Veteran Volunteer
- Reiki Volunteer
- Music Therapy Volunteer
ALL POTENTIAL VOLUNTEERS MUST SUBMIT AN APPLICATION. *** ALL POTENTIAL VOLUNTEERS MUST UNDERGO A BACKGROUND CHECK, TAKE A TB TEST, DRUG TESTING AND ORIENTATION/TRAINING PRIOR TO START***
