The Empowerment Factory will be partnering with Pawtucket Parks Department for Pumpkins Masquerade & Trunk or Treat.
The Empowerment Factory will start the day by hosting a specially spooky themed Art in The Park. Following this we will set-up four stations to decorate pumpkins with children from Pawtucket and surrounding areas. We will arrive at 1 and set-up for art in The Park, following that we will need folks to break-down and set-up the pumpkin decorating. We anticipate beginning to wrap up the festivities at 6.
Costumes are not mandatory but they are highly encouraged.
Volunteers will need to wear masks regardless of vaccination status. Volunteers are needed to assist with registration to ensure the event meets all the COVID-19 social distancing standards. Once registration is complete, additional help will be needed to ensure the children keep their distance, wear their masks, and stay focused on the program. We will also need help unloading and loading materials.
To sign up as a volunteer, please visit our website and fill out the Volunteer form - www.TheEmpowermentFactory.org/volunteer

Creating happier, healthier more empowered people.
Description
About Us:
The Empowerment Factory (TEF) is dedicated to giving children the skills they need to lead happier, healthier lives. We focus on three areas of development: creativity, self-esteem, and civic pride. The Creative Squad programs blend hands-on activities with social emotional learning (SEL) and environmental education. Our vision is for every child to develop the confidence and ability to express themselves, while becoming actively engaged in their communities. Every child should feel that they matter and can make a difference in the world around them.
The Empowerment Factory offers programs and special events for schools, after school, organizations, libraries and youth groups that help children develop the skills they need to succeed.
It was founded by Gail Ahlers, as a nonprofit organization in April of 2014 and became a federally recognized 501(c)3 as of August 2016. Our blended learning model has positively impacted over 3700 urban youth with the creation of 34 after-school clubs and 13 summer programs, 90 percent of whom live in under-served communities.
We welcome your involvement and support. You can give your resources, volunteer your time and advocate as we work together to build a better world.
