Walk for the Fallen is a nonprofit that aims to honor American veterans while raising awareness about the struggles they often face after serving, including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and suicide. All proceeds from the golf tournament will be going to Walk for the Fallen to support their ongoing efforts in support of the veteran and military community.

Volunteers will help make this event a success by helping out with: set up, registration, the Memorial Ceremony, and breakdown.

Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes

Attire: Casual clothing is acceptable, closed-toe shoes are required.

About Walk for the Fallen

Walk for the Fallen is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which specifically works to support American Legion Posts around the nation because they serve as the essential bridge between veterans and mental health resources from the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA).

Over the course of this pandemic many local programs have exhausted their pool of volunteers. Volunteer in the Community, in partnership with HandsOn San Diego, works to promote volunteer needs to the wider community knowing that our civilian and veteran populations welcome avenues to offer their support.
