Plans are well underway for Home Start's Hallo-Wine event in recognition of National Domestic Violence Awareness month. Hallo-wine is Home Start's primary fall fundraiser to support their vision for every child in San Diego County to have a safe, stable, and nurturing home. This lovely outdoor event offers patrons the opportunity to sample a variety of wines and local spirits, enjoy live music, and participate in games and a silent auction.

They are seeking volunteers to help with Hallo-Wine Clean Up. Duties will include clearing tables and chairs; removing/disposing of decorations/linens; breaking down boxes; loading the Home Start van; breaking down pop-up tents; cleaning up the venue as needed. Your help is crucial to making this popular event a success, ensuring a positive experience for the supporters who make their child abuse prevention programs possible!

Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes

Attire: Comfortable, appropriate clothing. Masks are optional (this event is completely outside).

Physical Requirements: Able to lift 10-20 pounds.

Waiver: Please fill out Home Start's volunteer application and email it to mwatts@home-start.org before attending. A completed application MUST be received no later than 5pm Thursday, October 20, 2022.

Photos: Volunteers can take photos at the event as long as it does not impede the event or volunteer duties. Photos cannot be taken of other volunteers without express consent.
