Volunteers that knit or crochet are needed to make lap blankets to benefit Visiting Nurse Home & Hospice

Lap blankets will provide comfort and warmth for hospice patients living in skilled nursing facilities.

Finished blanket size 30" X 40"

Please use soft, washable acrylic yarn.

Preferred colors any variation of blue & white. Soft colors also acceptable.

  • Knit or Crochet
  • Please no fringe or very large holes
  • Pocket optional
  • Please leave a note with your name, address and telephone #, number of volunteer hours

Drop off completed, clean blankets to any VNSH&H office

Founded in Newport in 1950, Visiting Nurse Home & Hospice has grown from a small grassroots homecare agency to a regional homecare organization employing over 300 people. Headquartered in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, we also have branch offices in North Kingstown and Providence as well as a supply station in Swansea, Massachusetts. We provide home care nursing, rehabilitation, hospice & palliative care, maternal child health, social work, and community clinics to over 900 patients daily and take pride in living our mission of providing optimal health and quality of life for individuals across Rhode Island and in Southeastern Massachusetts.
