Volunteers are needed to help facilitate in-exhibit and classroom activities revolving around concepts of biodiversity, morphology, and conservation. Interested volunteers can be expected to help set-up/clean up after activities, crowd manage students, and help students work through any questions they may have.

Description

We are growing our regular floor volunteer team and we are looking for enthusiastic learners, educators, and all those interested in continuing to learn about science, technology, engineering and math.We are looking for volunteers interested in helping six to twelve hours a month on a regular day and time that fits your schedule.

Volunteers at the Discovery Center of Idaho:

  • Encourage: diversity and inclusion
  • Represent: Discovery Center of Idaho and our mission both in and beyond our galleries
  • Grow: in their personal STEM knowledge and encourage growth of STEM understanding in the community.

They are teachers, stay-at-home parents, students, retired engineers and more. You don’t have to be an expert to be a volunteer-if you are passionate about STEM, and love talking with and helping others, we’d love to have you.
