DISASTER HEALTH SERVICES VOLUNTEER
This is a wonderful opportunity to help people recover from a devastating situation. That's part of what health services workers do every single day. When there's a disaster, your compassion and skills are vital. We needs boots on the ground wherever there's a major crisis.
Duties:
- Provide assistance and healthcare to shelter residents.
- Provide care before, during and/or after a disaster event.
- Assistance may include daily living activities, wound care, incontinence care, help with functional needs.
- Provide health education & assessments to determine if higher care is needed.
Commitment:
- *Typically a 2-week deployment, minimum 10 days deployment
Qualifications:
- An active unencumbered license or certification for NP, RN, LPN/LVN, MD, D.O., EMT, PA, Paramedic.
- Valid Driver’s License.
