We all know from experience how restless we can become when we are confined to bed during an illness or have to wait for a doctors' appointment. Magazines and other reading materials can be a great comfort and distraction during these times.
The Magazine and Communications Delivery Volunteer selects a variety of magazines from the supply in the Volunteer Services office and brings them to patients on nursing units, and distributes them to waiting rooms throughout the medical center. This volunteer also helps distribute other hospital newsletters and information about hospital programs.

Description
Volunteers help lift the spirits of patients, families, friends and staff by providing hospitality, patient visits, and participating in special projects. The volunteers are the customer service ambassadors of the medical center.
