Tech Beyond borders

Momentum Collective Inc. is partnering with the Alexandria Redevelopment and Housing Authority to provide an Afterschool arts program to elementary and middle school youth who live in subsidized housing in Alexandria, VA. The visual arts instructor will teach beginner level youth the fundamentals of painting and drawing and work in conjunction with the creative writing instructor to develop visual representations of written pieces developed by program youth. Volunteers will also receive support on how to incorporate academic elements into the writing classes. This opportunity is on Mondays from 5:30pm to 7:00pm and will require direct and in-person interaction with youth. As a result, we require that all volunteers be fully vaccinated, and be able to provide proof of vaccination.
