As a volunteer, Social Media Marketing strategist, you should have excellent multitasking skills to review, analyze and improve our social media accounts in a cohesive way. If you have a creative way of thinking and of presenting our views through multiple social media channels, we would like to make you part of our organization. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure our organization web presence is aligned with our marketing plan .

Responsibilities:

  • Design social media strategies per each platform to increase followers
  • Ideate and suggest original, high quality content
  • Analyze social media accounts to identify up-to-date trends
  • Liaise with writers and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing
  • Collaborate with Marketing team to create social 'buzz’
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on web traffic and ROI
  • Communicate with industry professionals via social media to create a strong network
  • Train internal teams to integrate and maintain a cohesive social media strategy
  • Stay up-to-date with new digital technologies and social media best practices

Requirements :

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing or relevant field
  • Proven work experience as a Social media marketing strategist or Social media manager
  • Hands on experience preferred
  • Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
  • An ability to identify target audience preferences
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 volunteer hours per week
  • PMs Minimum volunteer hours 10 hours per week for at least 6 months
  • Must be responsive to all messages within 24 hours
  • Excellent time management & communication skills in English; follow up and follow through approach
  • Native fluency in spoken and written English
  • Highly collaborative style; experience working in a virtual environment highly preferred
  • Proficiency with Google Suite Apps such as Drive, Sheets, etc. and familiarity with Trello & Slack
  • Enjoys creating & implementing initiatives
  • Reliable internet connection a must
  • Detail-oriented, organized, consistently communicates, and deadline-driven
  • Motivated self starter and entrepreneurial with the ability to work independently with purpose and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience or knowledge working in a Non-profit or social issues preferred.
  • Professional Demeanor at all times as a virtual non-paid volunteer
