Role brief:

Instagram Expert is a virtual volunteer position that works directly with the Marketing Project Manager. The individual will be responsible for creating strong content (both through writing copy and selecting/editing images and graphics) and have a responsibility to drive community growth and engagement to support our nonprofit organization. You will be creating, writing, selecting and editing strong relevant content that is in line with the organization's vision and goals.

Responsibilities :

• Plan a monthly content calendar for 2-3 posts to Instagram each week
• Determine sources for Instagram content creation and create content for 2-3 Instagram posts per week, which include writing engaging copy and selecting an image from an image bank to edit
• Create content for 2-3 Instagram posts per week, which include writing engaging copy and selecting an image from an image bank to edit
• Attend a weekly meeting with the marketing team to provide updates

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred, English, Advertising or Marketing background preferred or at least 2 years professional experience that can substitute for the Bachelor’s Degree
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Instagram content creation preferred
• Demonstrated ability to write successful Instagram content (Samples needed)
• Clear, precise and compelling writing skills
• Proficient with Instagram guidelines and regulations

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 volunteer hours per week
• PMs Minimum volunteer hours 10 hrs per week for at least 6 months
• Must be responsive to all messages within 24 hours
• Excellent time management & communication skills in English; follow up and follow through approach
• Native fluency in spoken and written English
• Highly collaborative style; experience working in a virtual environment highly preferred
• Proficiency with Google Suite Apps such as Drive, Sheets, etc. and familiarity with Trello & Slack
• Enjoys creating & implementing initiatives
• Reliable internet connection a must
• Detail-oriented, organized, consistently communicates, and deadline-driven
• Motivated self starter and entrepreneurial with the ability to work independently with purpose and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
• Experience or knowledge working in a Non-profit or social issues preferred.
