Position Summary: Christian adult volunteer with a special focus of preparing and serving meals for our youth programs.
FOCUS:
Main focus is preparing, serving, and cleaning up after dinner.
TIME COMMITMENT:
3-6 hours per week
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Keep the kitchen area organized and clean.
- Keep food preparation areas organized and clean.
- Keep kitchen utensils and equipment in good working order and report any problems to the manager.
- Report unsafe conditions to the manager.
- Communicate with other staff about daily operations and menu items.
- Follow health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Prepare food according to menu standards for cooking time, temperature, presentation, etc.

Our work at Youth For Christ exists in the overlap of God's story, our story and the story of a young person. At the core of our ministry, we meet kids at pivotal moments to build lasting relationships in which God can work.
Through our City Life after-school programs, we provide a safe, fun place for teens where they will be accepted, encouraged to make good decisions, and provided positive opportunities to become all that God has called them to be.

Description
Every day at community centers, high schools, middle schools, juvenile institutions, coffee shops, and local hangouts, our staff and volunteers meet with young people who need Jesus. There are 31,000 young people between the ages of 11 to 19 in the Kalamazoo area, and studies show that 20,000 of those teens are not in a church, or in a personal relationship with Jesus.
​Sharing Jesus with those 20,000 teens is our heart beat.
We seek to accomplish this by:
REACHING out to every young person with the life-changing love of Jesus
WALKING alongside them in discipleship, and . . .
