This is a regional position, in which you will:

*Support response and recovery efforts during disasters (often home fires, sometimes flooding) across Eastern NY State.

*Receive notifications & details about active/recent emergencies.

*Activate & support a response by the local disaster workforce.

*Coordinate resources, use online case management & dispatch systems.

Commitment:

Yes, this requires time & energy. The experience will change you forever.

*At least eight- 6 hour on call shifts per month.

*Training and mentoring provided.

Qualifications:

*Comfortable with computers & phones with a reliable internet connection.

*Ability to multitask, trouble shoot & catch details under tight timelines.

*Capable of providing steady support in a highly emotional situation.
