Machu Picchu and the Golden Empires of Peru is an innovative blockbuster exhibition that will be at the Boca Raton Museum of Art from 16 October 2021 thru 6 March 2022. To meet the high expectations associated with the exhibition and to serve the high volume of ticket holders, it is imperative that service of the highest standard is administered daily through each employee associated with the exhibition. The Gallery Attendant's role is to effectively communicate information about the exhibition to visitors, and provide service by necessary means in a variety of roles pertaining to ticketing, visitor flow, and exhibition experience.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Boca Raton Museum of Art is to enhance the appreciation and understanding of the visual arts by enriching the lives of visitors to and residents of our diverse community through the acquisition and maintenance of a permanent collection from antiquity to the present reflecting the art of world cultures, and the presentation of high quality and varied exhibitions with related educational programs and special events. The Museum further contributes to this learning process by providing hands-on instruction at its Studio School, which offers fine art, craft and interdisciplinary classes, workshops and summer camp for children.

Description

Founded in 1950 as the Art Guild of Boca Raton, the organization matured with the City and in 2001 the Boca Raton Museum of Art opened the doors to a new building providing space to mount larger and more prominent exhibitions featuring nationally and internationally recognized artists. BRMA is a dynamic leader in Florida’s multiethnic cultural life enriching its community through informative programming and educating audiences from diverse backgrounds.

The Museum has premiered numerous critically acclaimed exhibits including Picasso, Andrew Wyeth, Purvis Young, Whistler, Degas, Mary Cassatt and M. C. Escher, to name just a few and attracts some 200,000 people annually. Services include education programs for students and adults, both on-site and outreach, including art workshops, lectures, classes, films, family programs, gallery tours, discussions with local and visiting artists, travel tours and professional development seminars for public school teachers. Program participants range in age from 4 years to 94 years.
