Mission Statement

Seattle Tennis and Education Foundation is a non-profit that inspires under-resourced kids to be active in mind and body so they gain the confidence and skills to achieve their dreams.

Description

Our team works with underserved youth from grades 2-5 through athletic development and educational enrichment. We believe sports is a way for children to develop strong lifelong skills of sportsmanship, collaboration, teamwork, and attitude

Our team serves children from grades 2-5 through athletic development and educational enrichment. We believe that athletics provides strong lifelong skills for youth such as sportsmanship, teamwork, attitude, and effort. We are fortunate to be based in Magnuson Park, where we have plenty of outdoor life to explore while having access to one of the only tennis centers in Seattle. The children we serve live in Mercy and Solid Ground housing located in Magnuson Park, so we are lucky to have plenty of accessibility to the space we use and the families in our organization. Our overall goal is for our students to build confidence in themselves and gain the necessary tools to accomplish their goals. As our tennis program promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and dedication, our students will be able to take these skills into all other areas of their lives.
