 Work in a partnership with girls and adults to provide a girl-led environment where girls can discover themselves, connect with the others, and take action to make the world a better place through the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE).
 Ensure that the program offered aligns to the GSLE by utilizing journey books and The Girls’ Guide to Girl Scouting, customized with additional local experiences.
 Serve as a positive example for girls by modeling positive attributes such as reliability, respect for others, inclusiveness, and a positive attitude.
 Organize fun, interactive, girl-led activities that address current issues involving girls’ interests and needs.
 Communicate effectively and deliver presentations and information to the individual or group.
 Support and encourage girls in attaining desired goals and awards.

1 Shift

  • afternoon / 12:30 PM to 03:30 PM
    2nd and 4th Saturday (October-May)

Mission Statement

Girls and Gents Serving Successfully Inc. mentors youth the areas of Advocacy, Civic Engagement and Leadership . We facilitate service opportunities for youth ages 5-23 and teach them how to research, select an issue in their community and create impactful solutions .

Description

Girls Serving Successfully Inc has increased youth participation in volunteering since 2011. We primarily mentor girls ages 5-18 , however we extended the program to include males in January 2021. Our goal for this school year is to assist 200 youth in Metro Atlanta earn the Presidential Volunteer Service Award.

  • 3 hours on the 2nd Saturday from October-May. 2 hours leading a Community Service event on the 4th Saturday (October-May) . Volunteer are required to participate in at least 1 meeting or Service event per month ( October-May)
