ORGANIZATION: Girls Serving Successfully

Volunteer will facilitate virtual courses related to Advocacy, Community Engagement and Youth Volunteer Leadership awards. The volunteer will assist with the creation of the class content and presentation. The target audience are youth ages 5-23. Sessions during the school year will be held between 6-9pm EST (30 minutes content and 15 minutes for questions) and flexible scheduling on Saturday and Sunday.
Ideal candidate must have previous experience as a volunteer with a Non Profit Organization. Candidates must be willing to become a Registered Girl Scout Volunteer with Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta (requires a background check) . Currently we offer the classes mainly for Girl Scouts who reside in Clayton and South Fulton , Georgia.

Girls and Gents Serving Successfully Inc. mentors youth the areas of Advocacy, Civic Engagement and Leadership . We facilitate service opportunities for youth ages 5-23 and teach them how to research, select an issue in their community and create impactful solutions .

Description

Girls Serving Successfully Inc has increased youth participation in volunteering since 2011. We primarily mentor girls ages 5-18 , however we extended the program to include males in January 2021. Our goal for this school year is to assist 200 youth in Metro Atlanta earn the Presidential Volunteer Service Award.
