We are seeking one volunteer to co-facilitate Girls Group and one volunteer to co-facilitate Guys Group.

Each group presents the opportunity for youth identifying as 'girls' and youth identifying as 'guys', respectively, to talk about things that are on their mind while simultaneously trying to teach them how to be a better person/woman/man. Sometimes, if youth don't want to share, they may play music or videos. This group is very situational, week to week but the goal is for participants to feel comfortable being a girl/guy.

Volunteers may come with some planned activities/discussion points but must be flexible each group. Groups alternate on Tuesday evenings 6-7pm.

About Covenant House Alaska

755 A Street, Anchorage, AK 99501, US

Mission Statement

We who recognize God's providence and fidelity to his people are dedicated to living out his covenant among ourselves and those children we serve, with absolute respect and unconditional love. That commitment calls us to serve suffering children of the street, and to protect and safeguard all children. Just as Christ in his humanity is the visible sign of God's presence among his people, so our efforts together in the covenant community are a visible sign that effects the presence of God, working through the Holy Spirit among ourselves and our kids.
