Do you know how to sew? We need your help in sewing Christmas bags for the young adults we serve at Covenant House Alaska. We use these bags to help us organize Christmas gifts for roughly 150 youth. Not only is the bag helpful for us, it becomes a gift in itself that youth can use as a laundry bag all year round.

We're looking for a 24"W x 30" L with a drawstring top. Some bags with a more flexible fabric would help to accomodate large boxes. A variety of fun fabrics helps us to personalize things; especially patterns that are gender-neutral.

We need to receive these bags by December 6th for Christmas use.

About Covenant House Alaska

Location:

755 A Street, Anchorage, AK 99501, US

Mission Statement

We who recognize God's providence and fidelity to his people are dedicated to living out his covenant among ourselves and those children we serve, with absolute respect and unconditional love. That commitment calls us to serve suffering children of the street, and to protect and safeguard all children. Just as Christ in his humanity is the visible sign of God's presence among his people, so our efforts together in the covenant community are a visible sign that effects the presence of God, working through the Holy Spirit among ourselves and our kids.
