ORGANIZATION: Hackensack Meridian Haven Hospice

With over 25-years of proud service and commitment to the community, Hackensack Meridian Haven Hospice provides a special type of care to those suffering from a life-limiting illness. We are in need of friendly visitors to visit patients who reside in their own homes primarily in Middlesex County. Friendly visitors, at least 18 years old, provide companionship, socialization, and caregiver relief. Visits are typically 1-2 hours, once a week, and are based on your schedule. Of special need are those with specialized skills/experience such as Pet Therapists, Reiki Practitioners, Eucharistic Ministers, Beauticians, Musicians, Veterans, and those who speak another language.

Volunteers are provided a thorough orientation free of charge. For more information, contact for more information.

Current precautions: Following the CDC’s vaccine guidance, all HMH team members are required to have the COVID-19 vaccination. Universal masking is required.

We are a not-for-profit organization which serves patients who reside in Middlesex, Somerset, and parts of Union Counties. The time and talent that volunteers give helps Haven Hospice provide compassionate and quality care to our patients and families.
