Great opportunity for music lovers of all ages! Volunteer as a venue attendant/usher with the APEX Ensemble (The Montclair Orchestra). Details on the concert are below. Volunteers are expected to arrive by 6:30pm to arrange duties for the 8pm concert. In exchange for your time and service, ushers are given complimentary Admission to the concert +1 additional ticket, as well as a t-shirt to wear during the concert and keep as a souvenir.
APEX Ensemble, formerly The Montclair Orchestra, returns on November 5, 2021, with a program featuring Soprano Leah Hawkins joining from The Metropolitan Opera, singing works by William Grant Still, Francesco Cilea and Giacomo Puccini. The orchestra will also mark its return with the timely Sound & Fury by British-American Composer Anna Clyne, and Antonin Dvorak's euphoric Symphony No. 8.

Description
APEX Ensemble is a unique training orchestra that offers fellowship playing opportunities to students at some of the most recognizable music schools in the world, including The Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music, Mannes School of Music, Cali School of Music, and Mason-Gross School for the Arts. Playing alongside the student fellows are professional 'mentors’, including some of the world’s best orchestral musicians. Members of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Orchestra of St Luke’s, and other NYC-area ensembles provide an unforgettable experience for both musicians and audience. Leading the orchestra is Music Director David Chan, the concertmaster for the prestigious Metropolitan Opera Orchestra.
