Hero Horse Therapeutic Riding

Image_202010091230

Hero Horse is always looking for great volunteers like you to help us. You can help in equine assisted activities (sometimes called therapeutic riding). If you are at least 18, you could also feed the horses, Plus we need volunteers to maintain the barn, help at special events, fundraisers, committees and office tasks.

Our lessons are 6 weeks long and go from January through mid-December. We have lessons 6 days a week, with evening, daytime, and weekend times available.

You do not need to have any experience working with people with disabilities and special needs or horses. We will give you all the training you need to do your role confidently. We follow current CDC COVID guidelines.

Looking to learn more about horses? We offer trainings throughout the year to all of our volunteers to give back to you. It is a great way to learn more.

We look forward to working with you - and so do our riders and horses!
