Job Description:
The Scooty Fund is looking for an individual to continually contribute to our new Scooty Fund Blog on a monthly basis. Blog posts can cover a range of topics surrounding mental health such as your personal stories and experiences, interviews with colleagues, specific mental health topics, or the reviews of podcasts / books / movies. The length of each post is up to the writer. Blog posts can remain anonymous if the writer prefers. This is a volunteer role (as are all TSF roles) and requires a commitment of approximately 1 blog post per month plus 1 hr/week of meetings.

The Scooty Fund’s mission is to promote, support and advance culture surrounding mental health and wellness in ways that enhance the lives and well-being of young people.
Description
The Scooty Fund’s story begins with the life of Will Taylor (aka Scooty), who died by suicide at age 21, on March 4, 2017. One year later, Will’s sister, Kasey Taylor, friend Tara Nielson and fellow dedicated board members launched The Scooty Fund in his memory. Driven by its mission, The Scooty Fund focuses on encouraging conversations, de-stigmatizing mental illness, raising funds for research and resources, building supportive and open communities, educating others, and, above all, helping young adults prioritize their mental health in ways that work. The Scooty Fund pillars of action include social media, education and funding.
The Scooty Fund’s conviction that together there is a WILL and a WAY drives its efforts. In the words of Vice President Tara Nielson, "this is just the beginning of the story ... We are all leaders and learners."
