Beyond the Light Outreach Project (BTLOP) Food Pantry is the fourth Thursday of each Month, January - October and 3rd Thursday in November and December. In partnership with the San Antonio Food Bank, food bags are distributed via drive through or walk up methods.
Volunteer opportunities are available on the Tuesday prior to the 4th Thursday to help unload the truck which contain can good items, vegetables, meat and pastries.
Volunteers opportunities are available on the 4th Thursday to help set up tables, transport bags to outside the building for the drive through clients.
Due to COVID-19 all client activities are outside. BTLOP follows CDC guidelines for mask, social distancing and gloves.

Mission Statement: Beyond the Light Outreach Project will serve the underserved Denver Heights Community and surrounding San Antonio area through intervention programs for wellness, nutrition, life enhancement and life challenging addictions.
Description
BTLOP's effective date for Federal 501(c) 3 status was April 17, 2015. Currently there are no paid staff. Seven board members, one Ex Officio and nine volunteers are available to support the organization. BTLOP established a food bank and clothes closet to provide services to the Denver Heights and surrounding San Antonio area residents. The food and clothing are distributed monthly. In 2017 BTLOP partnered with Highland High School to provide shoes and coats for homeless and underprivileged students to assist with continuing education. BTLOP's vision is to seek opportunities to partner with other entities (schools, churches) to expand our services in different venues to positively impact those in need.
