KYRS Thin Air Community Radio is looking for volunteers to help during our Fall Fund Drive.

As a volunteer, you will help by answering the phone in our office; you'll process donations over the phone from our listeners. You will be supporting Spokane's only volunteer-powered, community radio station, and having fun while you're doing it!

Shifts are two-hours long and are available Sun. 10/24 - Sat. 10/30, 8:00am-midnight.

Requirements: must be 18 years old or older, must have good communication skills and a friendly attitude, an interest in radio and our local community preferred

COVID-19 protocols: Face masks are required (we have face masks available) and full sanitizing procedures are in continuous operation.

KYRS Thin Air Community Radio fills needs that other media do not, providing programming to diverse communities and unserved or underserved groups. Thin Air Radio provides a forum for neglected perspectives and discussions on important local, national and global issues, reflecting values of peace, social, economic and environmental justice, human rights, democracy, multiculturalism, freedom of expression and social change. Thin Air's arts, cultural, and music programming covers a wide spectrum of expression from traditional to experimental and reflects the diverse cultures Thin Air serves. Thin Air Radio strives for spontaneity and program excellence, both in content and technique.

Description

Thin Air Community Radio is run almost entirely by volunteers from the community, people like you who have a passion for independent music and ideas. All locally produced programs are hosted by volunteers.
