It's Spooky season and our nonprofit is taking full advantage of Halloween! S.Y.STEM Coalition is partnering with the Little Tokyo Service Center (LTSC) for a Halloween Spooktacular event. Addressing the underserved community around the LTSC, we hope to show the youth a fun and exciting time with a full-on Halloween science fair.
In hopes of engaging the interest of elementary to early middle school youth, you as a volunteer will develop a quick and simple "curriculum" for your own science fair booth! Along with the Halloween theme, your booth will entail a light presentation about a particular STEM topic you're experienced with or passionate about, along with an interactive activity a group or individual kids can participate in.
This event will only last 3 hours from 2-5 pm on October 23rd, so come on out and have some fun interacting and educating the next generation of STEM! Please feel free to reach out about more details, will connect with you ASAP.

Description
A little about SYSTEM Coalition: we started 5 years ago in Tucson, AZ. Six exceptionally talented and motivated people who wanted to give back to the community by helping k-12 students find a passion for STEM. We saw all of the poverty in our city and realized if just one of those kids from that community was able to get a great paying job in STEM, they could not only help themselves but also help their whole family break the cycle of poverty! Now the organization has over 100 volunteers, chapters in 4 different cities and growing! More than anything, being a part of this amazing organization has shown me that you really CAN change the world, one step at a time!
