Volunteers will help check rentals in at the front desk, take temperatures, monitor the rented spaces, provide support/information (wifi password, parking info, etc.). In short, you'll provide a great user experience for the renters/users of Budokan.
We are hoping for volunteers to commit to 2-3 months at a time, at least once a week. For example, if you sign up for Mondays, you would commit to volunteering on Monday for 2 months (8 weeks). There is some flexibility as we will have multiple volunteers who may be able to cover a few days if needed.
We require a livescan background check (fingerprinting) to be completed in order to volunteer at our facility. You should receive an email with the livescan form you need to bring to your appointment. You will need to complete the information on the form before taking it to your livescan appointment. In the fields for "Applicant type" and "Type of license/certification/permit/ working title", you can list "Volunteer". Livescan locations can be found with a quick search and generally have between a $25-$35 fee which will be reimbursed after your first day of volunteering.
You will also be required to attend a volunteer orientation prior to your first shift. Generally, trainings will be available on weekday evenings and weekend mornings. A followup email will include available training days.
