We are seeking new volunteers to join our fantastic team of ushers!
Our Performing Arts Complex consists of three venues: an intimate recital hall, an adaptable blackbox space and, of course, our 1,500 seat proscenium arch auditorium!
We support the artistic work of our Chabot College students, including our jazz ensembles, wind bands, musical theatre shows and new writing.
Additionally, we rent out our main stage to community members, hosting a variety of events including dance competitions, ballets, orchestras, theatrical productions and more!
As a volunteer you will play a key operational role in events, supporting student success and engaging with the civic and cultural life of the diverse East Bay community. Plus, you'll get the chance to watch a fantastic range of shows and have access to our exclusive community events!
Our volunteer ushers help ensure our audiences have the best experience possible while attending our events, providing a friendly, welcoming, professional, efficient and accessible service from the moment our patrons arrive at our venues right up until the time they leave.

Mission Statement
The Performing Arts Complex is one of the East Bay's premier live event venues, and is accessible to Chabot College and the community. We support student success in education, progress in the workplace and engagement with the civic and cultural life of the diverse East Bay community.
Description
The majority of our events take place in the Performing Arts Center, which is a 1,432 seat auditorium hosting over 100 diverse events each year. Our events include theatrical performances, fundraisers, arts competitions and live concerts. In addition to extensive backstage features, we have our own hard-working production staff, including a stage management crew, lighting and sound operators, and a strong Front of House team.
The Performing Arts Complex also includes a 200 seat intimate blackbox theatre and a small recital hall, which mostly host events for the college's Music and Theatre Arts departments.

- This is a flexible opportunity and you can sign up for as many or as few events as you like. We will work with your schedule!
- Volunteers will need to complete livescan fingerprinting and fill out a personal information form to submit to Chabot's Human Resources department.
