Friends of Fuerza,

We would like to get some good strong volunteer help. We are wanting to do some major repairs/deep cleaning to our building- Please give us a call here at Fuerza so we can tell you some of the projects we are needing done.

Building garden beds. We need help unloading bricks from a truck, unloading soil also from a truck. If you have a shovel and some time, come lend us a hand.

Mission Statement

Fuerza Unida’s mission is to empower women workers, particularly women workers of color, and their families to achieve social, economic and environmental justice through education, organizing and advocacy. A special part of Fuerza Unida’s mission is to address issues confronting garment workers in economic crisis because of plant closings and lay-offs. Fuerza Unida words to advance the rights of women, immigrants, low-income workers, and communities of color by providing education, training, guidance, and accessible information so that they may protect their rights and those of their families and communities.

Description

Today the women of Fuerza Unida continue working towards providing support to the groups that still struggle through oppression here in San Antonio. They provide a variety of services for their members, and work together to inform the community about everyday struggles minorities face. They currently have four active programs established to support the community.
We have a monthly food pantry; Thread of Justice; Youth of Fuerza; and School of Justice.
