Are you a massage therapy student who needs hours? Traditions Health Hospice of Glen Allen, Virginia (formerly known as Hospice Community Care) needs you!

We care for terminally ill patients, many of which could use supportive touch through hand, feet or shoulder massages. Our Glen Allen office serve patients in Western Henrico, Chesterfield, N. Chesterfield, Richmond City and Hanover, Virginia.

You don't need to have hospice volunteer experience because we will train you to visit your patient or patients in whatever setting your patient calls home. You could visit patients in assisted living facilities, nursing homes or in private homes. All we ask is that you "bring the sunshine" with you to your visits.

To become a Traditions Health Hospice volunteer, please answer the questions below. You must be 18 years of age or older and currently registered in a massage therapy program. (You will need to provide proof). You will need to attend training at our Glen Allen office. You will need a current driver's license, auto insurance and a clean driving record.

Traditions Health Hospice requires compliance with COVID protocols including handwashing or sanitizing, social distancing and mask wearing.

Traditions Health of Glen Allen and Traditions Health of Newport News are both formerly known as Hospice Community. Traditions Health provides excellent end-of-life care for terminally-ill patients living in the Richmond Tri-Cities, Williamsburg, The Peninsula, Hampton Roads and Virginia Beach.

Traditions Health uses an interdisciplinary team approach to provide the highest quality of hospice care to our patient's and their loved ones. Traditions Health has become the hospice provider of choice because of our reputation for impeccable customer service, friendly, knowledgeable and supportive staff, offering unique delivery methods that meet the medical, physical, psychosocial and spiritual need of our patients and those that love them.

It would be impossible to meet all of the needs of our patients and those who love them were it not for our exemplary volunteers who donate hundreds of hours of their gift of time every year. We have several exciting opportunities to offer people who are considering volunteering with hospice.

Volunteers must have a current driver's license and proof of auto insurance as well as a clean driving record. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. We will train you for the volunteer opportunity that you are most interested.
