We are looking to collaborate with a cybersecurity professional/organization to deliver educational content around foundational-level Digital Citizenship with our UpSkill NY program participants (out of school youth ages 18-24) for two hours. This is a virtual opportunity volunteer experience. You will be joining a delivering your talk and presentation to the students using Microsoft Teams, our meeting and collaborating platform.
Guest trainers will join our program on the morning of November 12th at 9-11am EST. All programs are delivered on EST. You are invited to join us again between 3-4pm EST the same day for a cybersecurity panel career discussion with participants.
The UpSkill NY Program is intended for participants who seek an overall understanding of computer concepts, a detailed overview of basic computer skills, understanding of the internet, basic digital citizenship competencies, basic user security and soft skills.

Description
The skills needed to succeed in todays complicated work environments challenge employers to find the resources with the right skills to be successful. We Connect The Dots will provide the necessary work skills needed for students to build strong careers in STEAM roles. By engaging in a partnership with communities, industry leaders, students and teachers, we will reduce the number of jobs that are filled by students outside the US. Creating a greater awareness to parents and students of the career possibilities and the skills necessary to succeed. Through an accelerated program and project based learning students will gain the experience that matches todays real world careers.
