MW West is looking for some after-school help with instruction and general class management for our Toddler, Elementary/Middle Academies, and Teen programs for the 2021-22 school year. Teaching assistants would help students during both homework time and instruction time up to 4 afternoons a week, beginning in late September.
Age groups:
- Toddlers - Ages 2-4 (Saturdays; possible Fridays)
- Elementary - Grades 3-5 (Mondays & Tuesdays)
- Middle - Grades 6-8 (Wednesdays & Thursdays)
- Teens - Grades 9-12 (Fridays)
Volunteers will serve at either our Mantua location (3520 Fairmount Avenue, 19104) or at a partner location, the Lucien E. Blackwell Center (N. 47th Street and Aspen Street, 19131).

Mighty Writers is a class 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 2009. Our 100% free, neighborhood-based and online out-of-school writing programs have grown to serve 3,500 kids a year. We operate in Philadelphia, PA; Chester County, PA; Camden, NJ, Atlantic City, NJ, Newark, NJ, and Washington Heights, NY.
