Are you a veteran or active duty personnel? Are you looking for a volunteer opportunity that allows you to reach out to veterans who are now suffering with a life limiting illness?

Traditions Health Hospice of Newport News, Virginia and Glen Allen, Virginia are seeking both veterans and active duty personnel to participate with us as we meet the social and emotional needs of our patients who are veterans. Our veteran patients live in Williamsburg, Newport News, Virginia Beach and Richmond. As a military volunteer, you would spend time with your patient and do things your patient enjoys, like going outside for a walk (weather permitting) or reminiscing about your shared military experiences.

To volunteer with Traditions Health, please answer the questions below. You will need to visit the Newport News office or the Glen Allen office by appointment, depending on where you live or work to complete paperwork and to be trained. You will need to submit to a background check and a TB test or chest x-ray, at no cost to you. While we are requesting that you volunteer a minimum of five hours a month, we will work with your schedule.
