Are you based in San Francisco and eager to contribute to a new model of community care? By supporting SF New Deal, you not only help get meals out of kitchens and into the hands of food insecure individuals - you’re also directly aiding our support of local restaurants & businesses around the city.
You can choose any day(s), Monday through Sunday, with shifts ranging from 10:30AM to 5PM. We prefer that volunteers assist with deliveries at least once a month, but understand that the frequency of involvement may vary depending on the delivery routes available.
Volunteers must have a current driver’s license, current car insurance, pass our provided background check, and be at least 18 years old.
Drivers will use their own vehicle to deliver meals. Drivers will pick up prepared meals directly from our restaurant partners and deliver them to a designated community site, taking approximately an hour to complete. Delivery sizes vary depending on the receiving site, and all routes will have the number of meals to be delivered clearly noted.

Mission Statement
SF New Deal provides supportive services and financial opportunities for small businesses in San Francisco. We work to address both the symptoms and root causes of inequity by building pathways which connect local business owners, workers, community leaders, and neighbors in need, for the benefit of the entire city.
Description
Our programs are funded through private donations and City government contracts and keep small businesses open (and their workers employed) by paying them to provide meals to San Francisco’s most vulnerable residents. Since our launch on March 23rd, 2020, we’ve delivered over 2.7 million meals in partnership with a coalition of community-based organizations and City agencies, and have disbursed $30M back to small businesses here in San Francisco.
