Shelter Association of Washtenaw County

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

In the Winter we open up multiple locations for warming centers to help our homeless neighbors stay out of the cold. We have a 12 passenger van for transporting clients and supplies that gets a lot of use in these months. We need a volunteer who can keep the van fueled and cleaned and take it in for routine maintenance.
We are also developing a driver program and are hopeful we will find volunteers who want to work together to train and support other drivers helping us further our services such as helping clients move into their new homes.

Duties include:

Weekly attendance (2 times per week)

Refueling the van

Checking fluids

Monthly wash/vacuum at a full service car wash
