Mission Statement
As a faith-based organization, it is the mission of Midwest Food Bank to share the love of Christ by alleviating hunger and malnutrition locally and throughout the world and providing disaster relief; all without discrimination. Our vision is to faithfully continue to help those in need by sharing the blessings.
Description
Our Partner Pantry Program operates by building relationships with large corporate food distributors who have an oversupply of food then match that food with food distribution programs across the state. The Florida division serves 32 counties within the state through our 170 partner agencies. Each week those agencies arrive at our food bank to restock their own pantry shelves through missions such as soup kitchens, mobile pantries, backpack programs, and shelters. With additional dollars we are able to continue to expand this work to the many agencies stuck on our waiting list.
We do not place religious restrictions on who can access our food bank nor do we sell food to our partner agencies.
