Healthy Baking and Cooking Instructor Needed

As part of all of our programs, we teach healthy habits for overall wellness. We are seeking volunteers to teach healthy baking and cooking classes. The skills we are trying to instill in participants are ways to avoid the use of unhealthy fats and carbohydrates, and to utilize farm-to-table organic fresh fruits and vegetables as often as possible. We would want to avoid the use of butter, sugar, and other ingredients.
On-site baking and cooking classes would incorporate the use of our own pears, which are grown on site at our Foundation Center. We would love to have a volunteer who could teach healthy Pear Tart baking classes or healthy Pear Salad and Smoothie classes, for example. The volunteer would be welcome to share any ideas that we could use the on-site freshly grown pears for. Ideas such as canning pears or otherwise preserving pears would also be possibilities for fun educational classes. As part of the classes, participants would get to take photos in front of our large pear tree on the front lawn. The volunteer would be asked to pick the pears off the pear tree for use during the class.
Aside from cooking with the use of pears, we also welcome other healthy cooking teachers to volunteer as well! We welcome on site volunteer cooking teachers or Zoom cooking teachers.

The DeVito Watson Foundation is a Private Operating Foundation committed to a legacy of goodness, wellness and inspiration.
We are a family foundation which supports hospitals, arts institutions, schools, research programs, prevention initiatives, and other organizations that align with our mission.
As a Private Operating Foundation, the DeVito Watson Foundation implements and orchestrates it’s own programs. Programs offered by the DeVito Watson Foundation are free of charge to all participants. The foundation receives no government grants and relies solely on the donations of generous benefactors such as the organization’s founders, relatives and associates. In addition, the foundation is unique in that there are zero directors and staff members on salary, and all operations are performed exclusively through volunteerism.
We are actively seeking volunteers to assist us with the following programs:
* Enrichment Program for Children of All Abilities
* Veterans Support Program
* Golden Years Program
In addition, we are actively seeking fundraisers to volunteer in assisting us to raise capital for the above programs as well as our annual scholarships.
