Ever wanted to help save a life? This is an amazing volunteer opportunity to deliver lifesaving blood to those in need. Be our mission in action by helping others when they need it most.
As a Driver, you will deliver life-saving blood products from Red Cross distribution facilities to hospitals, using a Red Cross-owned vehicle.
Time Commitment: At least 1 shift/month (typical shift is about 4 hours)
Volunteers needed 7 days/week, for 4 hour (flexible) blocks of time from 6 am-9pm.
Qualifications:
- Have a valid state driver's license and clean driving record
- Can lift a box from a vehicle to a hand cart (may weigh up to 45 lbs.)
This is a great opportunity to volunteer with a family member. Drivers can be assisted by Navigators, who can ride in the vehicle and assist with directions or in any other way needed. Masks, hand sanitizer, and other sanitary items will be provided for any volunteers. Help is needed now, more than ever, due to COVID-19.
