Kindred Hospice is looking for volunteers who can do in-person visits with patients in the south suburbs of Chicago. Just about all of these patients are in skilled nursing homes or memory care centers.
As a volunteer Kindred asks that you visit your patient three times per month for 30 minutes or longer each visit. We provide you with training and will accompany you on your first visit.
Volunteers are subject to the same onboarding requirements as paid staff members are: background check, fingerprinting, physical, drug screen, and TB test. Kindred Hospice pays for all of that so there is no cost to you. Kindred will also supply you with PPE. You must be vaccinated against Covid-19.
We are very (very) very flexible and grateful for all of our volunteers. We let you decide how much time (past 30 minutes) you want to commit to volunteering and what days you want to volunteer. Volunteering is flexible.

You will need to be vaccinated for Covid-19 and be able to produce your vaccination card.
