Image_202109221200

The Intake Volunteer greets each pantry patron, engages each patron in friendly conversation, gathers demographic information and enters the information into the patron database using an ipad, and schedules patron shopping appointments for the next month. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are not required but are most helpful to our Latinx patrons. Masks are required for all volunteers and patrons. The Intake Volunteer also interacts with the volunteers working in the pantry. A team of approximately 15 volunteers/day operate the actual pantry, the receiving area, business office and administration.
