LSI's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program assists qualifying tax filers who benefit from interpretation during their appointment file their taxes accurately, for free, and without risk of fraud.
Volunteers are needed to help prepare and review tax returns. Training will be provided and passing IRS certification is required before working with taxes.
Tax clinics will take place Tuesdays from 9-2, Thursdays from 3-7, and Saturdays from 9-3 throughout the filing season with each clinic divided into two shifts. We ask volunteers to sign up for at least one volunteer shift per week.
