6490 Broadway, Merrillville, IN 46410, US
America's Second Harvest is the nation's largest domestic hunger-relief organization. We are a member of this national network of over 200 food banks and food-rescue programs that distribute donated food through 50,000 charitable agencies to hungry Americans. America's Second Harvest distributes food to 23.3 million hungry people each year. Locally we distributed 2.1 m. lbs of food in Lake and Porter counties in Northwest Indiana in 2005 through our own network of over 90 agencies.
We are a nonprofit "wholesaler" of food to the needy that distribute USDA, donated and purchased food through network agencies - mostly faith based.
