Summary: The Puppy/Kitten Party Coordinator facilitates all logistics related to the successful execution of virtual and in-person puppy and kitten parties. This includes coordinating with both interested clients and fosters who may have available puppies or kittens.

Time Commitment: Approximately 0-10 hours per week, depending on demand

Location: Varies (virtual and in-person)

Reports to: Events Manager

Responsibilities:

• Answer all Puppy/Kitten party requests that come to Ruff Start Rescue
• Handle all correspondence with interested clients

○ Give initial details about puppy/kitten parties to the client (use email template)

○ Answer any questions they may have regarding details of the party

○ Find a foster with available puppy or kitten litter by posting in the Fosters Facebook Group, emailing all active fosters, and/or reaching out to Ruff Start Rescue Foster Managers for a list of fosters with litters

○ Follow all health and safety guidelines regarding in-person parties (ensure that all puppies/kittens are old enough/have correct vaccines to attend)

○ Connect the foster and client to find the best day and time for the party

○ Ask foster to share information about scheduled puppies/kittens with client

○ Send out reminder and "Thank You" emails to foster & client

• Collect soundbites/reviews/feedback from clients (i.e. quotes, pictures and/or screenshots of parties, etc.) to share with Events Manager

Qualifications:

• Must be 18+
• Reliable access to the internet

• Ability to work courteously and cooperatively with all members of RSR and the public
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision and direction at times.
• Ability to handle stressful or awkward situations with fosters or the public
