The Northern New Jersey Heart Walk is back and ready to reinvigorate your heart healthy lifestyle by uniting our community for better health, a fun experience and opportunity to help save lives. Join us on Sunday, October 16 and get your volunteer on! Our volunteers are the key to accomplishing this goal. The support we receive from the community is greatly appreciated as these events would not be successful without you! Our Northern New Jersey Heart Walk has always been about coming together, getting hearts pumping, honoring survivors, raising lifesaving funds - and having fun along the way.
There are volunteer opportunities for people of all ages, including areas such as:
- Set up: We have many stations that need to be set up, such as, water and snacks, survivor and top walker area.
- Parking: We have two parking lots that need managing and checking in VIP guests.
- Start line & Finish line: Get your cheer on as you encourage and cheer on walkers as they begin and finish their walk.
- Water stations: We will have two to three water stations throughout the course for walkers to stop and hydrate. Volunteers will be at each station, handing out water and cheering on our walkers.
- Breakdown: At the end of the walk we will need help cleaning up and putting everything into the truck.
