My husband Luis and I created SoulPhamm, a sports and arts program for kids in New York and New Jersey. The goal of SoulPhamm is to create engaging and unique competitive and performing experiences for young people. In January, 2021 Luis, my partner and very best friend, died suddenly and although the loss hurts, I am compelled to open SoulPhamm and now dedicate it to his memory. But I need help!
We are looking for individuals to join our administrative team as wardrobe coordinators.
We've got basketball, cheerleading, majorettes, drummers, dancers, steppers and a sorority and they all have their own unique style. Your job is to work with the Director and coaches to determine what each team needs as a base uniform and then find vendors who can offer us packages that are inexpensive, as many of our young people come from families that live at or below the poverty line. We also periodically have special events where we might need you to help find costumes.
Our NJ teams meet in Newark and our NY teams meet in New York City (Manhattan). 99% of your job can be done virtually - but you may want to meet the kids and coaches to get a sense of their style. So the ability to travel from NJ to NYC once in a while is important.
We need your help, or else the Director will have the kids in Hefty bags and Converse sneakers. No lie....

Description
Friends of MJHS ("Friends") is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation organized for the purpose of generating contributions, pledges and funds for the development and ongoing support of Citadel Academy Prep School (CAPS), a school that will provide students in grades 6-8 with a high quality Christian education through a well balanced, yet challenging curriculum that ministers to the spirit, soul and body.
Friends will also provide funds, management and ongoing support of The SoulDeevas Performing Arts Company, a character building sports and arts program that will serve all youth regardless of their religious affiliation. The SoulDeevas will include programs that provide activities, resources and support during critical out-of-school time hours in a safe, nurturing environment that works from a strengths-based, youth development perspective.
