Purpose Statement:
This position supports the National Headquarters (NHQ) International Services (ISD) department. This is a remote (volunteer-from-home) position. The Project Manager will enhance the ability of Red Cross personnel in working collaboratively with one another by supporting the combined Service to the Armed Forces and International Services Departments (SAF/ISD) by serving as a subject matter expert and resource for project management and change management for the People First Committee. This person is responsible for the overall implementation of the People First Committee in conjunction with Senior Leadership Team members who sponsor the sub-committees. The project manager will also liaise with the PMO, working in partnership with project teams, stakeholders, and sponsors to realize successful project planning, execution, implementation, and budget control.
Responsibilities:
- Support a blended committee of employees and volunteers to deliver and promote human capital activities and resources within the department.
- Leverage subject matter expertise in project management to enhance and complement current and future activities.
- Liaise with the senior leadership team for ISD/SAF.
- Consult the ISD/SAF PMO to maintain situational awareness of the department’s strategy and goals, and to report on the work performed.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Project management experience.
- Experience leading a change management initiative [with experience in one or more leading change management frameworks / theories of change (e.g., ADKAR, Kotter, McKinsey 7-S].
- Tools used: SharePoint, Teams, Office, O365, Power BI, Salesforce.
Preferred:
- Understanding of the American Red Cross mission.
- Project Management Professional certification.
