As a Disaster Casework volunteer, you will connect directly with people affected by disasters big and small to help take the next steps in their recovery journey. Red Cross volunteers support the recovery process of disaster-affected individuals, households, and communities by providing advocacy, referrals and financial assistance using our case management system.   • For those able to travel outside of their local area to locations hit heaviest by disasters, we request a commitment of at least 10 consecutive days at the site, with shifts of 8 or 12 hours each (we'll provide travel accommodations).
